The Federal Trade Commission is chasing after Amazon. Years ago, AOL would trick people into signing up for their services. The FTC states Amazon used similar deceptive practices, setting people up for Prime, and even complicated the cancellation process. My own AOL experience, for which I never signed-up for, or used the 3 accounts they started billing me for, was a nightmare that took 2 full days, including involving my own bank and a lawyer friend in the process. I love my Amazon account and will continue with it, but it does make me take pause as to what else we might all be dealing with.
