The big purchase of Activision-Blizzard, by Microsoft, has cleared a big problem this past week. A US Federal judge refused to stop the deal, stating it was unlikely that Microsoft would withhold games from Sony, and was more likely to provide increased access. It’s an interesting approach as there are games on Sony and Nintendo that are not available on Xbox. It all revolves around Call of Duty, which is one of the biggest games out there, but the courts found that the popularity of the game across all of the platforms is what led to it’s success, and Microsoft is well aware of that, and isn’t likely to pull the plug anytime soon.

A U.S. judge has refused to grant the FTC an injunction to stop Microsoft’s $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
