The Federal Trade Commission lobbed a lawsuit at Amazon on Tuesday, attacking the pricing structure. Amazon plays hardball, and pushes sellers to allow them the lowest sale pricing available, eliminating sales elsewhere. But they then turn around and demand higher amounts of profit for themselves. By doing this, they are setting themselves up to be a monopoly, and eliminating competition. Amazon will clearly fight back, and as the worlds 3rd largest non-state employer, behind Walmart (#1), and McDonald (#2), they have serious interest in holding this power. This will be one to watch.

In a new lawsuit, the Federal Trade Commission alleges that Amazon used its grip on the online market to warp the price of goods across the internet.
