Apple Vision Pro is coming up against a few different hurdles as developers are abandoning the product before it’s even on the shelves. Spotify… OK, music. But Netflix, the top movie streamer, and YouTube, the top “other video” streamer, have all confirmed dropping out. Of course, at a $3500 pricetag before AppleCare, and any other unknown markups, accessories, and so forth, I’m not sure sure this is a space for the general YouTube or Netflix viewer, but for specific content developed for the device. It is available for pre-order this weekend, and in Apple stores everywhere on Feb 2nd.
Like Netflix, YouTube and Spotify won’t be building specialized apps for Apple Vision Pro, nor will they allow their iPad apps to run on the hardware.
