Amazon recently poked irritation by adding ads to its Prime Video service, affecting all subscribers, not just a new, cheaper tier. Worse news arrived this past week, as it came out that if you don’t have the ad-free version, you’ll lose Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos features, degrading the audiovisual experience. Amazon has confirmed that removing these high-quality features from the ad-supported tier was intentional. This is resulting in a crop of lawsuits about false and deceptive advertising, especially as Amazon appears to be getting greedier. Amazon is starting to irritate many folks, as the fees start racking up.

It’s not just ads you have to put up with; key performance features are lost as well.
