Moving a step closer towards dystopian TV show Black Mirror, this week a new dating app called Score was launched, aiming to help people find their soulmate with a twist: users must have a credit score of 675 or higher to join. While the app doesn’t match users based on credit scores or reveal them to others, it offers resources for those denied to improve their financial literacy and credit scores. Would some consider this a classist warfare move? Would others scream for protection from deadbeats and golddiggers? Perhaps I’m disconnected, after having been married for so long, but to me, this sounds creepy.

‘Score aims to elevate the discussion around financial health, which has remained stagnant for decade.’
