Last weeks news on HP’s shove into the marketplace with the All-In Plan apparently didn’t have all of the deeper notes inside. If you sign up, the EULA has customers agree to “grant to HP a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, copy, store, transmit, modify, create derivative works of and display [your] non-personal data for its business purposes.” They admit they’ll gather details on what type of document you’re printing, as well as what you printed from, and so much more. This is far reaching, as well as the demand of a 2 year contract, 10 days to return hardware at the end, and that you keep the printer on-line all the time. Is that enough to scare you?

It supposedly doesn’t monitor the contents of your pages, but it knows just about everything else.
