Google revealed a slew of updates at its annual I/O developer conference this week, focusing predominantly on advanced AI capabilities. With no new gadgets to show off (they already dropped the Pixel 8A phone), Google threw everything into AI software. Highlights include upgrades to their Gemini AI models, which now assist with everything from personal tasks to professional projects in Google’s Workspace tools. Also included, a new Ask Photos enhances photo searching, while new AI in Gmail can even help manage workloads. The apparent goal of Gemini’s expansion is to transform how we interact with our devices and data daily.

It was AI all day at Google’s developer keynote. The company showed off new AI-powered chatbot tools, new search capabilities, and a bunch of machine intelligence upgrades for Android.
