McDonald’s, the fast food giant is ditching its IBM AI-driven drive-thru experiment due to numerous mix-ups in orders, like trying to serve bacon ice cream! This tech, once hailed as revolutionary, just couldn’t get it right, prompting McDonald’s to end the partnership with IBM, who developed the system. Despite this setback, McDonald’s isn’t giving up on AI yet, and other chains are also diving into the tech trend. I’m not thrilled with a lot of the Artificial Intelligence items, but someday this actually might get some more intelligible voices arriving over the speaker system. Will that be worth it, though?

No more bacon ice cream–the voice-recognition software is being removed from all stores
