The obvious suspect is to blame… supply and demand. Covid has created a limited supply of drivers, but the demand is up as we return to the world. Sure, you feel comfortable getting into one car that’s well cleaned, but would you feel comfortable driving around 15 people in a day, and any one of them could be sick? Pricing is going to go up for a while, and Uber and Lyft are going to have to make drivers comfortable.

Demand for ride-sharing is roaring back as the economy reopens, but the same can’t be said for drivers.
