This past Wednesday, Microsoft announced Windows 365. If you’re familiar with Office 365, a cloud based platform for the popular Office software suite, this is the same concept, but for the operating system. Where it differs is that you’ll pay for access to your Windows platform on someone elses hardware (good), but for a steep price ($31 a month for 2 vCPU, 4GB RAM, and 128GB storage). It is designed to compete with Citrix and other virtual desktop solutions, and be seamless, but for anyone not in the business world, the numbers likely won’t make sense to make the jump.
Stream your desktop, apps, settings, and content from the Microsoft cloud to your devices and have a personalized Windows experience wherever you are.
