It’s a chilling reminder of the burgeoning medical tech industry. Second Sight Medical Products has ditched their already successful efforts to restoring sight, leaving some blind implant recipients unable to see where they will get tech support. That’s a concern that we should all take as we look towards tech in our bodies. When we consider that an iPhone is good for all of four years or so, or a laptop or desktop for a few more, what do we need to consider about replacements that may be in our bodies for many decades to come.
