Intel is claiming that the 12th generation of CPUs are going to beat out the M1 chip. One problem is that we are expecting Apple’s next generation of chip very soon. Another is that most of the chip measurements on either side are biased, cherry picked data, with no true realistic impact on most of the real-world usage of computers. Just as two cars with a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine can perform vastly different, the difference in Operating Systems, and other components can distinctly change how Apple or Windows will work on any given machine.

Intel is expanding its 12th-gen mobile lineup with new U-series and P-series processors, and they could rival the Apple M1 in terms of power and efficiency.
