Netflix is testing a feature in other countries, that would allow sub-accounts for those family members in a different household. My wife and I both use Netflix, sometimes at the same time to watch the same movie (features on other services would make this easier, but…)…. So, if you’re not living together, they think you’re a separate household, and rather than cracking down, they are looking at adding a $3 charge to add 2 more accounts. Interesting, and definitely a new revenue stream to offset some of the more blatant cheating. We’ll see if it comes here.
For about $3, members will be able to add two additional subaccounts, with their own logins and profiles.
