I talked a week or so ago, about Netflix cracking down on people who share their password inappropriately. Netflix clearly intends core family members to be OK, but then when we expand to kids moving out, the aunt and uncle many miles away, it’s not appropriate. Apparently about 1/3rd of people surveyed admitted to sharing their passwords outside of the acceptable practices. That’s a lot of people, and a lot of money that Netflix is concerned about. The study noted further that 29% of similar services are shared, and 12% admitted they were paid not by the surveyed party.

One-third of U.S. Netflix subscribers share their login credentials with others, according to Leichtman Research Group.
