Apple is hoping to keep pace with their retail employees, stem losses, but also squelch the idea of unionization. Across the country, they are now offering $22 an hour minimum, and in some markets, they’ll be bumping that up even higher to keep pace. It seems that they have arrived at this without other pressures, and thereby showing that free market can work.
