Another comet, another threat of a solar flare, and so much more. I don’t know why, but news outlets keep latching on to these ELE (Extininction Level Event) items, even when we know they won’t amount to much. It’s part of the Breaking News overload that we’ve been encountering for years. I’ve resigned myself to not looking up these items any more, as when we do hear about one that is dangerous, could cause disaster, and all of that, they will underscore the headline with cataclysmic facts instead of a clickbait with no substantial information.
