Amazon Prime has offered Music for a long time, to the tune… all puns intended… of 2 million songs. Now, they’ve expanded the catalog to the full 100 million that normally came with Amazon Unlimited. They’ll still keep the premium service around for people who want higher quality, spatial audio… and they’re also downgrading the service so that you’ll be stuck with shuffle play of artists, albums, or playlists, instead of going with a curated approach to how you want to listen to your music. Still, as an ad-free option for most people, this could be OK for most casual listeners.
Amazon has expanded the number of songs its Prime members can access for free, from 2 million to 100 million.
