Amazon opened the week with another announcement of layoffs, including 9,000 across Amazon Web Services, which is what many corporate servers run on. They also laid off folks in Twitch, as well as shutting down Digital Photography Review, a leading set of experts on the best cameras to purchase across many lines. It’s one that I’ve used a number of times as they had information for cameras going back a couple decades, but also many articles on becoming better at the skill. This is unfortunate, and caught my attention, not through normal channels, but a couple of fellow camera buffs. Rather unfortunate.
After 25 years of extremely detailed reviews of digital cameras, the irreplaceable DPReview is being shut down by Amazon as layoffs continue.
