Vinyl records. The medium that was thought to be lost to the ages, has made an amazing and strange comeback. For the first time since 1987, the licorice pizza has outsold that newcomer upstart called the CD. This is actually part of a 16 year growth path that records have been making. Personally, I’ve been fond of the audible nuances of listening to vinyl, as well as the different level of involvement involved in listening to a very physical medium. Regrettably, I moved away from vinyl a while back, and haven’t the heart to go back and try to rebuild all that I had.
