HP printers received an update around the second week of May, and it turned some printers into big huge expensive bricks. It leaves an error code up, and HP is asking folks to reach out for support. This is a double whammy for HP who we talked about last week, in regards to their rejection of toner or ink that wasn’t HP. Yep, the number one printer company, with their almost scammy, excessively marked-up, officially approved product that is no different except for a lock-down chip, isn’t the only problem for them this month.

A mid-May firmware update is causing some HP printers to enter a blue-screen mode, with no way of resolving the issue on the user side—and no patch incoming yet from HP.
