Tesla is planning on expanding access to Full Self Driving across all of it’s North American cars. The headline is big and huge, and then it does roll down into the details. It’ll be a one-month trial, and it still isn’t the big deal of fully autonomous driving, the holy grail that everyone clamors for. The article at CTR notes that the reasoning behind this is two-fold. One is to build hype and tease people with the power of the feature, but the other is that they will collect tons of information about the roads around the country.
