AI has taken a predictable, yet interesting direction this week. It can be best described as saying that your next position may come from AI. LinkedIn has a new feature that will draft a cover letter to a hiring manager for you. It was rolled out to the services “premium” users, pulling information from your profile, the job description, and other areas. This will continue to change the job search game which has been altered already by people using ChatGPT and other AI services for the same. I would venture to say that LinkedIn is ahead of the game, as they have already been leveraging algorithms to link candidates to jobs and vice versa.
Draft messages from the AI tool will roll out to Premium users starting Tuesday, according to a post by LinkedIn’s senior director.
