VanMoof makes an electric bike, and there are all kinds of features that are best handled through your smartphone. Now, it gets worse… VanMoof is in a Dutch style of bankruptcy court, and a company has come along with their own app just in case VanMoof doesn’t recover. This is amazing, but it makes one wonder if a car company were to go out of buisness, what would happen to all of the supertech self driving abilities. You may say that car companies are too big to fail, but you’d be ignoring brands like Fiskar, Saturn, Mercury, and my beloved Pontiac, all of which have gone out of business since 2010. This isn’t exactly instilling me with confidence.
