A strange bit of news came out on the Chevy Bolt, which was the first “affordable Electric Vehicle”. It was discontinued by an official announcement during the Q1 2023 earnings call, but then this week, at the Q2 call, they said it will be back. Yes, it’s going to go through a some level of update or rebuild in the process. We’ll probably see a continuation of the name, but perhaps much like many other platforms, a rethink of the styling and ideals that go into building one. In this case, they are talking about lowering the expense, changing over to their new Ultium platform, and more. I’m not exactly enthralled, but it is good news for EV buyers.

After discontinuing the vehicle earlier this year, Chevrolet has announced that it is bringing back the Bolt EV.
