LAPD has become the latest to be investigated by the FBI for violating laws and regulations about body cameras, and other usage of tech against citizens. It’s not clear if this is a problem with individuals and lack of management, or a systemic issue.
One of the central questions raised by the FBI’s announced investigation of an LAPD gang unit is whether department officials could or should have known about the alleged misconduct sooner.
