The US Supreme Court is taking on a couple of different state level laws that are seeking to restrict social media companies from performing different levels of censorship. The social media companies have a long history of performing self-serving, or politically biased censorship, and deciding policies on their own. This has led to a variety of laws in both conservative and liberal states, each seeking to do battle with the other side. The conversation of censorship, of shadow-banning, of hate speech, and many other argued tactics may not find an end here, but it may lead to a start of molding a better representation of the soap box, than is already there.

The Supreme Court on Friday said it would wade into the future of free speech online, examining laws passed in Florida and Texas.
