Netflix is capitalizing on a different concept, brick-and-mortar stores that focus on retail, dining, and immersive experiences that relate back to their shows. This is similar to many other concept pop-ups that have occured over the years, mimicking famous fictional restaurants, but also taking a big page out of the Disney playbook where the experience is perfect for the ultimate fans. Their starting approach is from Squid Game, which isn’t exactly in my wheelhouse, but we can probably expect them to pivot to other properties quickly, and keep it interesting.

Netflix is apparently going to open IRL retail locations that’ll have food, experiential elements, and, of course, merch.
