Amazon has been pushing their Fire Tvs for a while, and I’m an owner of one of these. What I wasn’t expecting, was that Amazon is now planning to deliver prominent ads on these. Further, the ads are going to be built via your interaction with the various Alexa services, and as you browse around looking at movies, then you’ll find that the ads will start plaguing you and following you from screen to screen. It’s not like their many other places to go, as Google TV already did that, and it won’t be long before other manufacturers join in the revenue stream to siphon more money from our experiences.

OEMs are increasingly focused on using TVs as a way to show customers ads.
