Netflix went up 10% in subscribers according to Q4 data, counting 260.8 million paid subscribers around the world. Amazon is way behind at about 200 million, and Disney around 150 million. The rest are far below that, and are likely to be first to go as people start trimming. These numbers from Netflix, however, are well over expectations in the financial sector, sending shares sharply higher. Netflix celebrated by announcing their plan to live stream the whole of WWE wrestling’s offerings starting in January 2025. This is likely in response to Amazon Prime’s pickup of NFL football a while back.
