A week ago, I clicked on a link, intending to go to my default browser, Chrome. What I wasn’t ready for, was the fact that Microsoft Edge jumped in, told me I didn’t know what I was doing, and offered to fix my default browser to Edge. I wasn’t the only one. This led to a barrage of media attacks on this overreach by Microsoft to get people to switch. I’m no different from the other pundits here. I like Edge, but it’s simply not the best browser for how I work. To interrupt my life, my time, my comfort levels, is not how to win me as a customer. Forcing me to use your product when I intended to use someone else’s, is obnoxious. Don’t force me into Long John Silvers fish joint and tell me it’s Gordon Ramsay’s Fish and Chips.
