Perhaps to draw attention away from the layoffs, Tesla made their Full Self-Driving (FSD) package more affordable by dropping its monthly subscription cost from $199 to $99. The FSD, which offers various autonomous driving features like stopping at traffic signals and partially driving itself to a destination, was initially priced much higher when introduced. Still, this package doesn’t make Tesla cars fully autonomous, as suggested by the name. This attempt at retaining market share, and the attractiveness to those wishing assisted driving, may help turn the tide. Tesla is still the top seller in the US for electric vehicles. Still hasn’t attracted me though.

Tesla has reduced the price of its Full Self-Driving monthly subscription by half.
