The world is moving back to commercials everywhere. I recall how cable used to be a paid service, free of commercials, and they evolved to a platform that was anything but. Streaming will likely continue to leverage that same model to our own dismay. Not content with making money via their normal sales structure, Amazon is planning to, or perhaps already has for some customers, started to advertise products when you hit pause during a streamed show. This is on top of the current onslaught of commercials that are being reported by users of the ad supported tier, which you had to opt-out of by agreeing to another $36 a year.

Three new interactive ad formats are set to be unveiled this year.
