Hewlett Packard, or HP as most people know them, has long drawn the ire of printer users. From blocking 3rd party toner, to overpriced accessories, and more, it’s been a hit to their customer service marks. After they came out with a constant connected, subscription only “ink”, and so forth, they took another hit again by many, especially since the deal was very one-sided. HP’s latest announcements were to discontinue most of the models that provided this headache for them. It remains to be seen where they will go next, but as history has shown with HP, this story will continue with a different bad image.

HP will no longer make its e-series of 24/7 online-required printers. Instant Ink subscriptions are also being phased out.
