Microsoft’s August 2024 Patch Tuesday started causing a headache for people who dual-boot Windows and Linux with Secure Boot turned on. Users are reporting errors like “Verifying shim SBAT data failed: Security Policy Violation,” which prevents Linux from booting up properly.
