The upcoming scary movie, “28 Years Later,” has something a bit different in the form of production. Despite NDAs clamping down on leaks, a July snapshot hinted at unconventional camera use by Danny Boyle, the director. Star Jodie Cromer posed near what seemed like a regular cinema camera, but it turned out to be an iPhone in a tough aluminum case with some high-end fancy lenses attached. Boyle’s no stranger to tech hacks; he once used a pro-sumer Canon camcorder for “28 Days Later.” It does serve to push the wonder as to if we really need to focus so much on the increasing camera abilities of all smartphones, as they reach far beyond the needs of the average person capturing pictures of their loved ones.
The upcoming Danny Boyle horror sequel “28 Years Later” was shot on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, marking another movie that took advantage of Apple’s product lines.
