Meta’s variant on the various Microsoft, Google, and Apple events was this week. Along with updates to Meta AI, and the Meta Quest VR headset, they introduced a new set of augmented reality glasses. They do have info on the glass in front of you, offloaded processing to something they call a puck, and the rest of the usual tracking of voice, eyes and hands. It’s almost a better version of Apple’s product, for usage in daily life around others, instead of being couch bound. I will note that these glasses have some great promise for tech, but they will not be considered fashionable.

After months of teases, Meta finally gave the world a proper look at its upcoming AR glasses, aka Orion.
