Kaspersky Antivirus has been banned in the United States. What they did this week, was uninstall their software, but then install another brand’s antivirus onto customers across the US. Wait? What? Yep, that’s right. Imagine waking up your computer in the morning to find out new software, from a company you don’t know, was installed by the company you allowed to protect you from unauthorized software installations. Along with UltraAV, another software, UltraVPN, was also installed on this action. I can’t even imagine who thought this was a good idea? Messing with my computer, installing things without telling me, but even more important is that there are reports that people are having problems uninstalling this new software. If you have Kaspersky or UltraAV, get something else quick…
Those who use Kaspersky should check their PC for an unannounced guest.
