Verizon will buy Frontier for $20 billion to expand its fiber network

Verizon is going to pay $20 Billion for Frontier, a broadband competitor, to increase their reach by 20%. They claim it’s a strategic fit, but Frontier has been beleaguered by a Chapter 11 in 2020, and an FTC fine in 2021.

The all-cash deal comes one day after rumors began.
