Walmart offers same-day groceries, and has for a while. On Wednesday, Amazon announced it was planning for enabling same-day delivery options for both fresh groceries and other products offerings. This is currently being introduced in Pheonix, AZ, but could expand if it works well. It includes Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods, and Amazon.com, and you could combine many items across that band into one order. Also in play are options for quick pickups at the store, or even shopping at the store. Also announced, Amazon Safer, which is lower priced food offerings to compete with Walmart, Target, and Aldi private label foods.
On Wednesday, Amazon announced several new ways it plans to enhance the grocery shopping experience for Prime members. These include enabling Same-Day Amazon plans to enhance grocery shopping for Prime members, such as enabling Same-Day Delivery for both groceries and Amazon.com products.
