Netflix’s mobile app now has a new feature that allows you to take clips from movies, save them, or even share them. They call it Moments, and those Moments will be forwardable as a link. So, that means that you won’t have them play directly on the Facebook or Instagram account, but rather, move the viewers to Netflix’s own servers. There are some questions, as I haven’t played with it, so it’s not clear if the links only work for Netflix users, or if it’s a way to drive an increase in subscriptions to the most popular streaming service. Further, what will happen at Facebook or the other platforms, when the viewers drift away from their own apps, over to Netflix.
