Windows 11 is 3 years old. The latest stats are in regarding install base. In that span of time, Microsoft has managed, not to surpass Windows 10, but simply to come up to half of the install base of Windows 10. Windows 7 accomplished that in just over a year. Windows 10 did it in 10 months, and in 2 1/2 years, passed Windows 7. Yes, Microsoft has had problems with other slow adoption rates, but usually reacted nimbly with newer versions that excited the user base. Windows 10 is now 9 years old, and is simply liked by more people. With a year until Windows 10 support ends, nobody has even spoken about a possible successor to Windows 11, apart from rumors, hopes and dreams, which is also concerning.
Windows 11 has finally reached more than half of Windows 10’s market share, with just over a year before support for Windows 10 ends.
