Microsoft is struggling with Copilot, their AI platform. Their latest approach is to move it right into Microsoft 365, presumably to gain market share. The key apps that a large amount of people use daily in the corporate world, will have it baked in… Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. This means abandoning the $20 a month subscription revenue where it struggled amidst the world of competition from all corners. There are some slight price bumps in Microsoft 365 coming, but the real advantage will come from a commanding position where people will look locally first, rather than moving off to outside sources.

Microsoft’s Copilot Pro software used to be an add-on subscription for Microsoft 365 subscribers, but apparently that didn’t go over well.
