Cryptocurrency is currency speculation. Except that it’s not a true currency backed by anything. That having been said, yes, it hit the $100,000 mark this past week. Before you decide to dive into crypto, however, remember that at Christmas 2021, it hovered around $60k, and a year later it was hovering around $20k. Volatility is the unsaid phrase here, and while people have made money, and can still make money, it’s a world where it can disappear as fast as the many other invented currencies. The cold hard facts are that it’s just as easy to lose your shirt in that market… and that’s why I don’t play there. Another crypto coin went live this past week based on a meme star, and nearly immediately went into manipulation territory that some were calling a scam.

Bitcoin has broken new all-time highs, finally passing the $100,000 mark.
