YouTube used to be free, but now has ads. We were sold on the idea of YouTube TV, as a replacement streamer for cordcutters who were sick of the high price of cable. Back in 2017, it was a wonderful $35 monthly. Now, it’s moving up to $83 a month, which does bring it up inline with Hulu Live TV package, which includes Disney and ESPN, so one has to wonder. The flip side, however, is that the standard TV side of the cable bill (without the other parts) averages $79 a month. We use streaming only in our home, but we haven’t gone with the live in 5 years. It’s all up to the viewer and their budget.
