I’m not sure what to make of Walmart’s latest pilot program. It seems that they are giving their store associates body cameras to wear during operations. Part of this is for loss prevention, but also to reduce conflicts in their stores, and improve worker safety. This follows much of the same type of operations done with police officers across the country. There are detractors saying this is the next step in surveillance of the employees, and while I appreciate the stance, it seems like a weak argument. Time will tell on this experiment.
