The Los Angeles firestorm resulted in a wide swath of various tech news of people being supportive, or callous. On one side, Apple Card users who are impacted are able to get a month off by applying. AirBNB also announced a plan to help house those directly affected through free stays and more (with some caveats). On the other side, TikTok employees who can’t work from home, must use whatever PTO time instead of getting a reprieve from their bad news.
