CES was this week. Marty will share later, but this year was no different than previous years. Thousands of new ideas and products, most of which will not really make it to market. New cars, humanoid robots, graphics cards, televisions, robot vacuums, smart glasses, and more. So much of it is the same as years gone by, and too much for most to see. I looked over many things, and while it shows an exciting future ahead, with innovation and intrigue, I also can see that many things will never see the inside of our homes. Discernment about what is going to really work, and what is more hype than real, is making the overload of CES into something that will actually hurt tech in the long run. What saddens me most is that I see some of the truly cool things won’t get enough attention away from the vast overload in Vegas to truly separate the wheat from the chaff.

We’re spotting the most exciting products and concepts at this year’s show, including an unexpected best of CES winner.
