Unless the Supreme Court steps in, TikTok is days away from either being banned, or bought out. The list of names that has been involved includes famous folk, like SpaceX king Elon Musk, mogul Ken Leary, and YouTuber MrBeast. Other folks that are lesser known, billionaire Frank McCourt, Bobby Kotick who was CEO over Blizzard Activision, and even Doug McMillon of Walmart, along with a few others. This could come down to the wire, and change at a moments notice. TikTok is the 5th largest social media platform in the world with a bit over 1.5 billion users each month, but a ban in the United States would seriously cripple it.
Unless the Supreme Court intervenes, Google, Apple and internet providers won’t be allowed to make TikTok available after Sunday, Jan. 19.
