Where they went wrong was that the website where it was posted allowed for comments. The company, after seeing a large number of postings critical of the decision, turned off comments. This leaves me in a bind over my feelings. Sure, they have a choice to allow or decline comments, and they have done this in the past, but for something that impacts to many, and is a controversial decision, it presents a very negative impression about the lack of concern for individuals who may be impacted and are seeking a voice. Those affected may feel further marginalized through this, and that’s never good for morale.
